A short film co-produced with Jahajee Sisters to remember our ancestors who first landed in Guyana on May 5,1838 aboard the Whitby & Hesperus. We think about their 90-day journey into the unknown to what many called El Dorado, “The City of Gold.” We invoke their resilient spirits and we honor their struggles, their triumphs. Using our voices, we tell their stories, our stories. We heal for them and for our future generations.
